Case Study: IKEA, Southampton

Having previously designed and installed Siphonic rainwater systems on new build Ikeas at Cardiff, Edmonton, Milton Keynes, Ashton and Belfast, our involvement with Ikea Southampton was expanded by incorporating The RWP(UK)Ltd total rainwater solutions Package. Working closely with the design team the Rainwater Harvesting Requirements where designed, supplied and installed along with the Siphonic drainage by RWP(UK)Ltd.

An area of the main store roof was designated as a catchment area for recycled water. This water was routed to a 67,000Lt above ground storage tank, from where it was pumped to a 10,000Lt day tank located within the internal plant room facility.

The remaining store roof area and adjacent Multi Storey Car Park was also drained by a RWP(UK)ltd Siphonic rainwater drainage systems.
