HDPE Pipe and Fitting

The majority of installations are fabricated and / or assembled from High-Density Polyethylene, (HDPE) Pipe. This plastic material is strong, light weight, durable and unaffected by most common chemicals or sunlight. Its known service life is in excess of 50 years even when operating under varying temperature regimes. For rainwater installations the service life of HDPE will be extended almost indefinitely.

  • Jointing. Butt fusion welding or electro-weld couplings provide a totally sealed pipeline.
  • Fittings. Proprietary moulded and fabricated bends, branches and reducers complete the pipe system.

HDPE Installation

Siphonic pipework is typically supported from the building structure by a steel rail system.

  1. The rail is suspended from the structure by threaded vertical steel rods and appropriate bracketry. The pipe is secured to the rail via steel clamps at specified intervals according to the loads exerted by the system under full bore flow conditions.
  2. Down pipes may be secured to columns or designated steel work via steel rail and pipe clamps or saddles or other specified supports.
  3. Connections to underground surface water sewer systems typically at finished floor level are by EPDM adaptor couplings. Other connection methods are made according to site requirements.
